This is the message that Local 4948 President Maureen O’Reilly recently delivered to all TPLWU Local 4948 members:
"As you well know, the election for mayor and city council will take place on Monday, October 25. Advance polls are already open.
The Executive Board of TPLWU Local 4948 voted unanimously at our meeting on September 23 to endorse Joe Pantalone for mayor.
In our view, Joe is the only candidate with a vision for a progressive Toronto where public sector workers and public services are valued and the workers that deliver public services are respected. That vision includes library workers too.
On October 25 please vote for Joe for mayor. For those who live outside Toronto, do encourage family & friends in the city to vote for Joe."
