TorontoJazzBuzz and NuJazz Festival are proud to announce that the honorable, Maureen O’Reilly (of www.OurPublicLibrary.to and President of the Toronto Public Library Workers Union), will offer opening remarks at a highly anticipated groove-music & acid jazz concert/party, as part of the 4th annual NuJazz Fest! This event – (which will take place at Waterfalls Indian Tapas in Kensington Market on Friday November 18th, 2011) – will feature four outstanding local bands for $10 advance / $15 door (a mere pittance!). Look for a special acid jazz cameo performance by The BOUNCE Project, co-led by trumpeter, William Sperandei - a veteran of several Juno winning bands. Sperandei has toured with multi Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner, Wynton Marsalis, and opened for Grammy winning jazz legend, Herbie Hancock as part of Juno winning bassist, Brandi Disterheft’s band.
