Public Consultation Meetings Begin at Parkdale Library - UPDATED

The first of many public consultation community meetings on the proposed cuts to library service was held at Parkdale Library for Ward 14 residents. Citizens came out in large numbers with a clear message for both the library and for the Board - don't cut services, which included opposition to the recent cuts to staffing.

Watch the video posted to YouTube by a citizen of Local 4948 President, Maureen O'Reilly questioning how it would be possible to eliminate 100 jobs (in an under-staffed organization that has already lost more positions than other other direct delivery service) and not  affect customer service.
