On February 12, the Senior Library Assistants were to receive their (overdue) in-charge lump sum payments. Instead, they discovered that the employer had pro-rated the recently negotiated increase for the period between November 11, 2009 (the date of ratification) to December 31, 2009.
The Union fought this and as a result the employer has agreed to correct this payment.
Affected SLAs should receive any outstanding monies owing on a future pay - the employer was not able to confirm on which paydate the adjustment would appear.
