On October 17, Cllr Paul Ainslie, Ward 43, Scarborough East was elected as the new Toronto Public Library Board Chair. Cllr Ainslie, a member of Ford's Executive Committee, has consistently voted against motions that would protect our public library. The position of chair normally goes to a ciziten-appointed member - this is the first time a member of City Council has occupied this position.
Michael Foderick, a newly Ford-appointed citizen member of the Board was elected Vice-Chair. He was Cllr Palacio's (another Ford-ite), Executive Assistant.
