Yesterday on the National Convention floor, Resolution 55 was passed by the delegates to create a National CUPE Library Workers Committee. President Maureen O'Reilly spoke to the floor to urge delegates to support this important resolution. Library workers from Sask., Newfoundland, Vancouver, and Ontario rose to speak in defense of this resolution as well.
This new ability to unite and co-ordinate our efforts across Canada to fight the attacks on library service and library workers.
